“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.
Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.
All those moments will be lost in time,
like tears in rain.
Time to die.
Concept Development
I am really into this idea of the embodiment of the fragile, transient nature of memory.
Each transparent, teardrop-shaped sculpture travels along the conveyor, catching and dispersing natural light as it moves. These subtle reflections create hazy, fleeting images—like fragmented memories glimpsed and then lost. As the teardrops approach the end of their journey, they disappear into a concealed chamber, symbolizing the finality of forgetting.
Mirrors set at varied angles along the conveyor produce layered reflections. This design invites viewers to see each teardrop from multiple perspectives, experiencing memory as something both multidimensional and elusive. The gradual fading of each reflection as the angle shifts captures the sensation of memories growing distant and dissolving.
